Chief advisor

Dr. RobServing in his role as SERI’s Chief Advisor and Chief Executive Office for Authorization/Accreditation, a role created in 2016, Dr. Leveillee brings experience working as a teacher and administrator in several locations around the world. Prior to accepting his advisory role with SERI, Dr. Leveillee served with distinction for nine years as Cognia (Formerly AdvancED)’s Vice President for International Services. Cognia (Formerly AdvancED) supports schools in 78 nations around the world and Rob’s primary responsibility was to oversee Cognia (Formerly AdvancED)’s international services and activities. He has served as school head international administrative posts in Peru, Australia, China and prior to his post with Cognia (Formerly AdvancED), in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Rob began teaching High School English in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, followed by a Middle School Principalship, then chief of school posts in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. In 1986 he was awarded a Ph.D. in educational leadership from Boston College. Over the course of his career, Rob has served as chairman on numerous accreditation teams in the United States and around the world for Cognia (Formerly AdvancED), WASC, MSA, and NEAS&C, with which he also served as a commissioner. He has met with students, Ministers, Ambassadors and Presidents, served on panels, key noted, and presented at more than one hundred conferences around the globe. Today he is known and respected as a “global mentor” by educators and students around the world Dr. Leveillee is the husband of Dr. Tina Leveillee, and proud father of Matthew and Katie.
