Eligibility for Supplementary Examination / External Assessment

Guidelines for NWAC American High School Program (AHSP) learners who need to re-appear in a limited number of subjects while maintaining exam integrity and academic standards.

Maximum Subjects Allowed

Supplementary Examination is allowed in not more than 2 subjects where the learner has secured a grade lower than D.

Based on Year-End Results

Eligibility is decided on the same academic session's year-end (annual/final) examination performance.

Application Window

Students must apply within 7 working days of result declaration to be considered.

Core Eligibility Conditions

  1. A candidate shall be eligible to appear in the Supplementary Examination / External Assessment of NWAC AHSP if he/she has obtained a grade lower than D in a maximum of two subjects in the external assessment of the year-end (annual/final) examination in that academic session.
  2. A candidate who secures a grade lower than D in more than two subjects in the same year-end external assessment will NOT be eligible to appear in the Supplementary Examination / External Assessment under any circumstances.

Application for Supplementary Examination

Students who meet the above eligibility conditions must fill a separate form titled "Application for Supplementary Examination" to appear for the Supplementary Examination / External Assessment of NWAC AHSP.

This application must be submitted within 7 working days of the declaration of the NWAC AHSP year-end (annual/final) examination results. Late submissions may not be considered.
