Eligibility Criteria for Admission

Applicable for Grades 9 to 12 - NWAC American High School Program. All age and document requirements must be fulfilled as on 1st April of the year of application.

Eligibility Criteria for Grade 9

Grade 9

Age of the student should not be below 12 years and above 18 years as on 1st April of the year of application.
Copy of Mark Sheet of Grade 8 issued by recognized school/board.

Grade 10

Age of the student should not be below 13 years and above 19 years as on 1st April of the year of application.
Copy of Mark Sheet of Grade 9 issued by recognized school/board.

Grade 11

Age of the student should not be below 14 years and above 20 years as on 1st April of the year of application.
Copy of Mark Sheet of Grade 10 of boards (including open boards) from valid board of education in India till the date of application (For valid Indian education boards please see list of COBSE recognized boards as per COBSE Website www.cobse.in).
Copy of Grade 10 Passing Certificate issued by recognized education board.
If a student passed his/her Grade 10 from foreign boards, he/she is required to submit Equivalency Certificate from AIU, New Delhi. If marks are given in grades, proof of their equivalent percentage of marks.

Age of the student should not be below 15 years and above 21 years as on 1st April of the year of application.
Copy of Mark Sheet of Grade 10 of boards (including open boards) from valid board of education in India till the date of application.
Copy of Grade 10 Passing Certificate issued by recognized education board.
Copy of Mark Sheet of Grade 11 issued by recognized school.
If a student passed his/her Grade 10 from foreign boards, he/she is required to submit Equivalency Certificate from AIU, New Delhi. If marks are given in grades, proof of their equivalent percentage of marks.

The following documents must be submitted along with the grade-specific eligibility documents at the time of application.

Copy of Address Proof (Aadhar Card, Passport)

4 passport size photographs (signed on the back)

Satisfying all the above eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission to the NWAC American High School Program. All documents submitted by the student will be evaluated before confirmation of admission. NWAC, USA Regional Office reserves the final right to accept or deny admission to any student.

In case of any deviations from the prescribed eligibility criteria, NWAC, USA Regional Office reserves the right to evaluate the candidature on a case-to-case basis. The final decision on the candidature of the student will be taken by NWAC, USA, Regional Office (RG Trade Tower, Netaji Subhash Place, New Delhi-110034) and shall be binding. No further communication in this regard shall be entertained.

*Recognized

Those education boards which are members/associate members of the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) and all foreign boards recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

*Birth Certificate

Issued by Registrar of Births & Deaths or any other competent government authority.

Note

1. All documents should be self-attested and counter-attested by a local Gazetted Officer / Notary or certified / verified by the school authorities.
2. Failure to fulfil the above criteria will lead to rejection of the application.
